The best way to get your celeb news has got to be from… your grandmother in Australia! I woke today to an email from my granny about K-Fed.
Kevin Federline, Britney Spears’ ex hubby, has been taken to hospital in Australia following worries of a potential heart attack.
He has been in Aussie land for the filming of a reality TV series called Excess Baggage, which is an Australian weight loss show where a celeb is teamed up with an everyday person and they work together to lose weight and get fit again. Kevin says on the promo video about why he wants to lose weight and get back to his healthy body, because he can drink “24 cans of soft drink a day.”
News reports are saying that Kevin was attending an AFL (Aussie football) training session in the filming of an episode when he complained of chest pains.
Fremantle Media’s on-set paramedics treated him at the scene with oxygen and feared he had suffered a heart attack given that his pulse rate was very high, a statement from the Nine Network says. An ambulance took the 105kg reality show contestant to Mt Druitt Hospital where he is currently undergoing tests.
The news sources said that this is also the second time Kevin has has suffered a medical problem on set since filming began nine weeks ago. He apparently had heat exhaustion when they filmed the first episode in the Kimberleys, in northern Australia.
This is scary because K-Fed is only 33 years old! It is very hot and humid in Australia at the moment, and I have often thought that these reality TV weight loss shows, like Biggest Loser can be very irresponsible as they push contestants way too far… I hope that K-Fed is ok and gets well soon. Yikes!
